Bogotá, Jan 14 (Prensa Latina) UN Secretary General António Guterres shares with some 250 former FARC fighters and community leaders in the department of Meta, located in central Colombia.
Guterres began this Sunday a tour of the ETCR (Territorial Area of Training and Reincorporation) of Buenavista, municipality of Mesetas, about 100 kilometers from Villavicencio, capital of Meta.

The distinguished visitor has as purpose to see first-hand one of the experiences in the process of reintegration into civilian life of the ex-guerrilla, converted since September 2017 into the Revolutionary Alternative Force of the Common (FARC).

The UN Secretary-General is accompanied by head of the United Nations headquarter in Colombia, Jean Arnault, the high counselor for the post-conflict, Rafael Pardo and the high commissioner for peace in Colombia, Rodrigo Rivera.

The leaders of the FARC also participate in the exchange, Iván Márquez and Rodrigo Granda, who, along with the other Farian leaders Pablo Catatumo and Pastor Alape, held a meeting the day before with Guterres, on which occasion they thanked the UN for its commitment to the construction of peace in Colombia.
