Left Front Launches Manifest Unity to Rebuild Brazil

Brasilia, Feb 20 (Prensa Latina) Institutions attached to five political parties launch today the manifest Unity to Rebuild Brazil, as part of the efforts to articulate the creation of a left front, confirmed the Foundation Perseu Abramo (FPA).
The document was written by the FPA, the Workers' Party (PT) and foundations Lauro Campos (Brazilian Socialist Party, PSB), Mauricio Grabois (Communist Party of Brazil, PCdoB), Joao Mangabeira (Party Socialism and Liberty, PSOL) and Leonel Brizola-Alberto Pasqualini (Labor Democratic Party, PDT).

The presentation will take place today at the Chamber of Deputies and it is expected to be attended by the presidents of the five political groupings, their leaders in Congress and parliament members of those parties, as well as representatives of social movements, trade unions, intellectuals and artists.

After launching the manifest, the Front will present the document and its presidential pre-candidates at the World Social Forum to be held in Salvador de Bahia, from March 13 thru 17, anticipated the digital daily Brasil 247.

According to the publication, besides former president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) and Manuela D'Avila (PCdoB), already ratified as pre-candidates for those parties, in the electoral dispute will be present Ciro Gomes, for the PDT and Guilherme Boulos for the PSOL.

Meanwhile, the PSB still without its own candidate, negotiates with former minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Joaquim Barbosa to represent it.
